Funke Opeke

Managing Director

Funke Opeke is Managing Director of Equinix DC West Africa or MainOne (EQ to advise). She was appointed in April 2022 following the acquisition by Equinix of MainOne of which she was the founder and Chief Executive Officer.
Funke founded the company and led the development and implementation of the MainOne Cable System, a private submarine cable system that connects Nigeria, Ghana, Cote d’Ivoire, Senegal and Portugal.

Wole Abu

Managing Director, West Africa

Wole Abu is the Managing Director of Equinix West Africa. Prior to his appointment at Equinix, he served as CEO of Liquid Intelligent Technologies Nigeria and Africa Data Centre in Nigeria, as well as Pan African Towers. He also held the position of Vice President of Sales at Airtel Nigeria and has extensive senior management experience spanning Human Resources, Engineering, Operations, Finance, Legal, and Marketing.

Emmanuel Kwarteng

Director Field Sales / Country Manager, Ghana

Emmanuel Kwarteng is the Director Field Sales, and Country Manager at MainOne, Ghana. He is a seasoned ICT professional with over 18 years of experience across Europe and Africa.

Prior to joining MainOne, Emmanuel was the Executive Director for Technical operations at Broadband Home Ltd, a triple play service provider where he led the technical teams in the expansion drive of the company throughout Ghana for over 10 years.
